Explore Our High School
Welcome from
Miss Mackie - Headteacher
Northgate High School embraces the three core values of Respect, Determination and Teamwork. These values are fundamental to the calm and positive learning environment that we strive to achieve at all levels across the school. Northgate has high expectations – not only around securing academic success and appropriate onward pathways for our students, but in maintaining good discipline and behaviour.
At Northgate, we recognise that the children under our care have a number of challenges facing them in a fast-paced society. These challenges are many and varied, and different for each young person. Our stimulating and relevant teaching and learning includes opportunities to be involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Our strong pastoral system is characterised by the maintenance of positive and supportive relationships. Together, these combine to provide our young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence to meet these challenges and embrace their future beyond school.
The Northgate site is impressive, with purpose-built centres maintained and equipped to the highest standards to meet the expectations and demands of today's students, their parents and carers, and the wide-ranging timetable we offer. We also cater for the needs of the community in that we have joint-use and shared Arts and Sports Centre facilities.
The ethos at Northgate is underpinned by our genuine desire to support the wellbeing of every student, ensuring that they can realise their full potential.
