"I joined Northgate Sixth Form 17 years ago as an administrator. Working in a school environment was a new concept for me, but you soon adapt. In all honesty I didn't think I would still be here 17 years later, but having progressed to become the Admissions Officer it provided me with new challenges and for my role to become more strategic/research based to work on recruitment plans and also gave me flexibility to constantly look at improving our admissions and recruitment processes. I absolutely love working in the Sixth Form team where the community environment means you don't just have colleagues, but friends. The role of Admissions Officer is varied to say the least, but students are at the heart of everything we do in Sixth Form."
