Favourite Album: London Calling - The Clash

"I have worked at the school for the last 10 years, in the role of Deputy Headteacher (responsible for Teaching & Learning). Before that I worked for Suffolk County Council as Humanities Adviser for Suffolk, supporting the teaching of History and Geography in Suffolk Schools. I have also enjoyed working for a publishing company in London (producing History textbooks) and as a History Education Consultant for the BBC, the Imperial War Museum and St John's College Cambridge. During the last few years I have been working as part of the Sixth Form team on recruitment. This is a part of my job that I really enjoy - visiting all the different 11-16 schools, running assemblies, attending information evenings and helping to provide advice on effective revision strategies. Our ambassadors in Sixth Form are a pleasure to work with and I'm always impressed with how willing they are to support other students and work with the team to create a real sense of community with the Sixth Form centre. They really understand the importance of giving something back to
your community and they are a real credit to our school."
