Northgate experienced a ‘light touch’ Ofsted inspection in December 2015. Two inspectors spent one day with us in order to satisfy themselves that the school is maintaining high standards.
Because this was not a full-blown, two-day inspection with multiple inspectors, a full report has not been written. However, I received a letter from the Lead Inspector, which I am delighted to be able to share via the link below.
In summary, the inspector identified very many positives about the school, our pupils, students, staff and governors, and provided us with his suggestions of things that we can do to sustain current progress. This feedback has been incorporated into our school improvement plans.
It was particularly pleasing that “Pupils [students], parents and staff who responded to the inspection questionnaires were overwhelmingly positive”. Thank you to those who took the time to share views with the inspector at such short notice.
